Git good or git gone

I finally set up a repository on github for the game. I am HORRIBLE about that and always have been. Now, though, I’ve got Claude automatically pushing changes to the cloud.

I’ve never had a catastrophic loss like you read about that would necessitate a git repository, but the whole idea is to have it in place before anything bad happens. Basically if the files on my PC somehow get deleted or corrupted.

It’s like putting on a seatbelt. You do it hoping it’s unnecessary.

I created an NPC class this morning. This is Pea Zincues, a traveler on Beta who sells letter tiles he finds on the island. I need a way for players to spend gold, and Pea will do nicely.

He offers a set of different “basic” letter tiles at a variety of levels. Sometimes they’re cheap, sometimes they’re…not.

I bought a pack of assets to get some generic characters in place. I really don’t draw fast.

Godot did some simple animations. Making the eyes blink and move around and stuff.

Now I’m toying with the NPC menu layout a bit to find a style that I like.
